WHAT IS ULTIMA ONLINE?
First of all Ultima Online
is a multiplayer online game. The action takes place in a fantasy world with a huge continent and numerous islands, surrounded
by the immense ocean. The name of this world is Sorcaria. On its vast territories you will find forests and mountains, dry
deserts and deadly dungeons – you can go anywhere you want. More than a dozen towns are divided to red and blue ones.
Blue towns are protected by the Lord British Royal Guards (a permanent ruler of Sorcaria lands) that immediately stop all
violent actions of the players. There you can feel relatively safe. Red towns are not protected at all. The gangs of extremely
dangerous player killers govern these towns. Every moment there is a game with fire.
When you start
playing you create a character to be your embodiment in the fantasy world. You can give him or her a name, choose gender and
even the color of the skin. You character will lead his virtual life under your close control. His life is eternal: even death
is unable to end it; the soul of the dead character will be resurrected.
Your abilities are represented
by skills – there are 50 of them and each one is counted in percents with the maximum of 100%. Each of them can be improved
to develop your abilities in a certain field: swordsmanship or blacksmithing, mining or magery. If you work hard to improve
your skills you will be able to reach perfection in a certain field and choose your own way of life. There are no limits for
development in this world and after months of playing your character will become great and famous.
You
can make good friends with players from different towns and countries to help each other on this difficult way. You will fight
side by side to overcome malicious enemies and assist each other in the most desperate adventures. A wide choice of armors
and weapons, more than 50 spells, magic clothing and potions are always at your service. Try your friends in journeys to dangerous
dungeons and fights with gangs of murders. Coordinate your trade and financial operations. Gather dozens of players to your
team or join one of the existing guilds – nothing can stop you on the way to your success. Your blacksmiths will arm
your warriors, your tamers will tame the best horses for them, tailors will make magical clothes and alchemists will grind
potions for your army. And your warriors won’t let you down. With valor they will defend the honor of your clan in the
bloody battles. And you will be there at the head of your army in your best armor on the fastest stallion with a deadly axe
in your hand to lead them to victory!
Who will you be? A warrior and a head of the legendary guild,
whose name will make enemies flee in panic? May be you will be a crafter with a perfect reputation, whose skill in building
houses or smiting weapons and armors will help to amass great riches. Or may be you will live in the forest and dedicate your
life to taming rare animals. And if you choose treasure-hunting you will sooner or later find unique ancient artifacts and
